Good Riddance to the Modern Age!

After graduating from Capital Institute’s Regenerative Economics Course, Cohort 4, I found myself sharing my learning and often asked to pinpoint events, that led to outcomes we now suffer. This is by no means exhaustive and does not attempt to cover all bases. But for the audiences I had, who were largely born in the last 30 years, focusing on events in their lifetime proved meaningful. I begin my historical timeline with 2 August 1990, when Saddam Hussein invades Kuwait.

To save the Natural World, humanity will have to say “Good Riddance” to the Modern Age and welcome the Regenerative Era. I selected an acoustic version of Green Day’s Good Riddance song, to enjoy while reading about my selected historical events and their outcomes.

Pro tip – Click on the speaker icon on the first slide to listen to Green Day while reading the slides & you have controls for both audio and to make the slides auto play for you. 🙂
